The Archduchy of Mimas is a unique micronation claiming Mimas, also known as ”Saturn 1,” a satellite of Saturn, alongside several minor terrestrial territories on Earth, primarily located in Southern Sweden. After five years of dormancy, the Archduchy was revived on April 30, 2015.
As a constitutional monarchy, Mimas conducts free and equal elections called by the Archduke, the Prime Minister, or the Royal Marshal. Governmental posts are awarded to full citizens following thorough examination. The Archduchy also features a traditional branch of nobility, open to all citizens.
