The armed forces of the Archduchy of Mimas do solely fill a defensive and coffee drinking purpose.
In November of 2020 the Armed Forces were divided into two branches; the Mimasian Army and the Mimasian Navy. The Navy is the traditional branch for awarding honorary command to foreign citizens.
In both branches the Archduke is the highest ranking officer; General and Admiral.
Coffee Drinking Requirement
In August of 2020, a new bill was brought to the Royal Parliament in order to revise the laws on conscription. It got full support in Parliament with no votes opposing it.
The bill made ”being an at least occasional coffee drinker” a requirement for conscription.
